The £100 million apartment

The most expensive apartment in world is not where you would probably think it would be, when thinking of places that are in tens of millions of pounds there is Dubai, Hong Kong and other places where you could imagine such sums of money being freely available, but no this apartment is in London, and in fact “One Hyde Park” which is in Knightsbridge is no completed yet.

This apartment is the penthouse and is due to be completed by 2010, and while other apartments have been sold for prices reaching record levels of £6,000 per square foot the total price is around £20 million, so naturally the penthouse is going to be much more expensive, when you wish to mix with wealthy Russians, celebrities, princes and just about anyone who can afford the cost.

In total there are 80 apartments in the complex, which makes it one of the most exclusive places around, but with this sort of money being spent on property would this mean that the average prices for London and indeed the whole of the country would be lifted?
