Green Development in Australia

It comes as no surprise that Australia where they have plenty of open space and sunshine, that they should be looking at creating new developments which are eco friendly and a project in Sydney is just one example of this growing trend towards redeveloping older sites, instead of taking land that could be used for something else and building on it.

This particular site is around fourteen acres in size and used to be a brewery. But soon it will become a centre for commercial, residential and retail space a mix that has proven to be very successful in the past.

But even though the buildings are going to be state of the art, there will be some thirty two items which will remain in place to give the development a sense of style and history. To add to this the development will be a waste water recycling unit, solar powered lighting in public areas, green roof tops and a gas powered co-generation electricity plant.
