Spanish estate to be raffled

When people try this in the UK they normally find that there are rules and regulations that actually prevent the scheme from going ahead, but in Spain things are slightly different which has made it easier for Wayne Crowsley and David Davis to put their property in Andalusia up for raffle, rather than for sale.

Tickets are being sold for 25 Euros, which is around £20; they are hoping to sell eighty eight thousand tickets before the 1st May 2009. Fact they are even running a promotion where if someone buys four tickets they get one free.

The property consists of a four bedroom house, seven holiday apartments and a swimming pool; this is all set in fifteen acres of Spanish countryside. The estate was put up for sale for 1.5 million Euros, around £1.2 million, but failed to sale.
