MP buys retirement home on expenses
MP’s expenses are a political hot topic at the moment therefore it’s sensible to take a look at one particular MP, Rudi Vis aged 68 naturally he his thinking of retirement and where better than the Suffolk coast?
However, the purchase of a £520,000 home for the North London MP has been made with expenses from parliament; surely, this has to be wrong if not no wonder MP’s are always smiling.
Nevertheless, it is true and the MP says that it is within the rules, he is allowed to claim an accommodation allowance of £23,083 per year to pay for a second home and this is what he has done. Therefore when it comes to retiring he has a nice country property all paid for by the taxpayer, nice!
